San Jose shooting: nine dead, including gunman, after attack at California rail yard

Police say the shooter was an employee of the Valley Transportation Authority, which operates the light rail facility

A shooting that erupted in the early hours of Wednesday morning at a light rail maintenance yard in San Jose, California, has left at least nine people dead, including the gunman.

Local leaders have described the violence as a “terrible, terrible” tragedy as authorities search for a motive.
